ALDI Inc., A M King’s long-time client, needed to renovate and upgrade its dated office space to accommodate 500+ new administrative employees.
The goal of the renovation was to modernize the building, including upfit of two full tenant floors. The space consists of new conference/collaboration rooms; large hoteling areas dedicated to out-of-town employees; private meeting rooms; training; wellness spaces, and a spacious work café. Sound attenuating and full-height walls at conference rooms and manager offices created an open, collaborative environment. All new flooring was installed, from luxury vinyl tile (LVT), to porcelain tiles for breakrooms and bathrooms. A new 200kW generator was added to service emergency lighting, IDF closets, conference rooms, a server room and the work café. Construction was phased by floor to complete almost all work during business hours while minimizing interruptions during employee operations.
