GE Vernova’s Greenville, SC campus is dedicated to high-efficiency and high-reliability design, state-of-the art manufacturing, and innovative advances in power generation for heavy-duty gas and 1.5-megawatt wind turbines. The 413-acre site includes 1,350,000 sf of manufacturing space, comprising the world’s largest gas turbine plant. A M King team members have more than 25 years of experience in facility maintenance and equipment installation/relocation at this campus, giving them a strong understanding of GE’s strict plant standards and lean culture. In early 2016, the company began searching for a solution to the persistent problem of finding experienced engineers to manage both equipment installation and subcontractor selection. A M King assisted with establishing a consistent management process that could apply to any project; creating a safer work environment; and publishing project savings.
