A M King renovated a 135,000-sf paper mill in Charlotte that consolidated Mueller’s manufacturing, warehouse and office space into a single location. We assisted the owners in astutely marrying existing capacity with new construction; observing temperature-specific requirements in the warehouse; and collaborating with Mueller’s vendors to install low-voltage cabling, a security system, fire alarms and multi-functional, specialty furniture. An open office floor plan with breakout areas provides opportunities for small-group collaboration. A ribbon window system spans the entire length of the front of the Westlake Drive building, providing an abundance of natural light.
