To support its ambitious expansion plans, including the addition of 800 new store locations nationwide by 2028, ALDI US has launched a major campus revitalization initiative at its headquarters in Batavia, IL. A M King is overseeing this complex renovation/expansion project, what is being called the ALDI Corporate Campus Renovation, refurbishing the interiors of three existing buildings in addition to the design and construction of a fourth structure that will house amenities and an approximately 600-stall parking garage.

This ALDI Corporate Campus Renovation project will transform the existing facilities into modern office spaces with open-concept layouts, updated finishes, and an array of new features designed to enhance the workplace experience. Among the upgrades are glass-walled meeting rooms, energy-efficient lighting, digital scheduling systems, and state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities for collaborative meetings.

The new 56,000-sf building will have connectivity to the existing buildings and will include a fitness center, third-party food service areas, and a conference center.  It will stand out with its visually striking features, including a two-story atrium, skylight, and conversational staircase. A green roof with a pollinator garden will further enhance the sustainability of the building. Outdoor spaces such as a covered patio and courtyard will offer employees a place to relax and collaborate.

A new 4-story precast parking garage broke ground in Q4 of 2024, which is scheduled to be completed in line with the other improvements. The façade closely matches the existing office building and will consist of approximately 600 stalls with infrastructure options to convert five percent to electric charging stalls. The structure will be located in the East half of the existing surface parking lot and is strategically being constructed during building renovations to take advantage of the reduced vehicle demands on campus.

Designed to foster creativity and productivity, the ALDI corporate campus renovation and expansion reflects ALDI’s commitment to creating an innovative and dynamic work environment. The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed this year.
