Honeywell’s Greer facility, established in 1982, is a major center for the company’s machining and special processes. In addition, it handles maintenance, repair and overhaul services for both commercial and military aircraft. A coating facility takes parts and coats them in materials to give the parts different characteristics, whether it be more flexibility, higher melting temperatures or longer durability. In early 2018, A M King began constructing 20,000 sf of new manufacturing space on the west edge of the existing facility and upgrading all required utilities. The Design-Build project also included installation of a process water cooling system for the coating equipment and renovation of the existing 225,000-sf facility. A M King successfully installed the fourth and final coater machine in May 2021.
