Carrollton, TX.—A M King and Sports Med Properties, LLC. are adding another D1 Sports Training facility to their program geared toward local athletes. D1 Carrollton, which broke ground recently, will be a very impressive facility. The estimated completion date is Dec. 31.
The 18,000-square foot building will offer an indoor football field with artificial turf, a yoga studio and a VIP lounge, which are all unique features to D1 facilities. The complex will also offer a 2-acre outdoor football field with natural grass, lights and a high-performance track. It’s meant for amateur and professional athletes to train, but will also be used as Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib’s own off-season training facility.
“I want to help provide kids with a stable environment, a place to play and practice sports,” says Talib, who will also be the sole owner of the D1 property in Carrollton. “This facility will allow them to train and play with first class amenities and use those to develop lifelong skills.”
Together, A M King and Sports Med Properties, LLC. have established a specific formula for the growth and expansion of D1 Sports Training. The D1 facilities in the group to date include D1 Birmingham, D1 Winston Salem, D1 Denver, D1 Omaha and D1 Louisville. D1 Indianapolis is scheduled to open early this fall.
