Indianapolis, IN—A M King, a fully integrated design- build firm, is proud to announce the imminent grand opening of D1 Indianapolis, the 7th D1 Sports Training Facility in our program with Sports Med Properties. The purpose of the facility is to serve the local community, promote athleticism and provide a place where local organizations can compete.
“I want local athletes to have the same opportunities I had and more,” says Jeff Teague basketball star for the Minnesota Timberwolves and sole owner of D1 Indianapolis. “This was the best way to accomplish that desire.”
The 34,200-square foot facility features three full basketball courts, 18 hoops, team prep rooms, 7,500-square feet of interior turf training and 2,600-square feet of physical therapy space.

Unit Leader. “The project was completed utilizing fully integrated Design-Build services in order to meet the owner’s turnover schedule. The project team was able to fully design, permit and build this state-of-the-art facility in less than 10 months while battling harsh winter weather.”
A M King and Sports Med Properties teamed up five years ago to develop D1 Sports Training Facilities. Six facilities later the two companies have established a specific development, design and construction formula for the growth and expansion of D1 Sports Training, a Nashville-based company that pairs pro athletes—often from the NBA or NFL- with a training facility, physical therapy and medical services and specialized coaching programs for local athletes. Chris Paul (Houston Rockets), Jeff Teague (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Aqib Talib (Denver Broncos) are among the investors in A M King/Sports Med Properties locations, which include D1 Denver, D1 Winston-Salem, D1 Birmingham, D1 Louisville,D1 Omaha, D1 Indy (The Factory) and D1 Dallas (A+ Athletes Powered by D1 Sports-due to open in December.)
