Designer

After starting at A M King, I was able to quickly contribute to projects despite having no prior experience in Design-Build. I attribute this to the exceptional communication and collaboration skills of the team and the constant sharing of knowledge. My questions are always encouraged, and my thoughts are valued. This was key in creating an ideal environment for me to continually learn and grow as a young professional.

— Abby Hiller, Designer / University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Alum

Designer

When I started at A M King, I did not have experience in designing processing or distribution facilities. Now, just under two years later I have assisted with design for five different projects and two are currently under construction. Design-Build is fast-paced and challenging, and I rely on the daily support of my team. Our leadership's experience, open-mindedness, and curiosity create an environment where we can effectively communicate and collaborate.

— Marco Macharios, Designer / Appalachian State University Alum

BIM Modeler to Senior Designer

At A M King, we prioritize a collaborative, and supportive environment, which is key to helping young professionals build confidence. Beyond offering excellent benefits and encouraging personal growth, we’re committed to guiding employees toward their professional goals. As a Senior Designer, I not only experience this firsthand—I also have the opportunity to help create that same experience for others. That’s the real reward for me!

— Jennifer Buchanan, Senior Designer & BIM Manager / UNC Charlotte Alum

Intern to Senior Designer

A M King strives to support employees during every step of our professional development, from building design to project management. While I was working through the AXP program to become a licensed architect, I relied heavily on mentorship from our design leaders. They helped me gain crucial hands-on experience, including traveling to jobsites, which has been incredibly rewarding as a designer.

— Chad Elly, AIA, Senior Designer / UNC Charlotte Alum
